Welcome to Wetherby Gardens, an award winning garden square situated between Wetherby Gardens and Harrington Gardens in London SW5.
The garden square was established in the mid to late 19th Century on land which had previously been a market garden owned by the Gunter Estate.
Wetherby Gardens is a private garden governed in accordance with the Kensington Improvement Act of 1851. This provides for the administration of the garden to be delegated to a sub-committee who manage the garden on behalf of the residents who surround the garden square.
Funds to provide for the running costs of the garden are collected via the Council Tax and are determined at the Garden's AGM which is held in early January, to which all qualifying garden residents are welcome. Notices are placed on each garden gate in advance of the AGM.
